Stayed at the blue lagoon for 2 weeks with hubby and friends. Some reviews did worry us, but cant actually find any fault with the hotel. We stayed in Block , which is the adult only block and the adult pool is directly outside. Very quiet and relaxing, we used the greek restaurant, a few times, but our favourite was the italian, where we were waited on, much nicer than the serve yourself buffet. Rooms in the adult block quiet spacious and furnished to a good standard, we didnt think the bed was to uncomfortable.
Didnt really use the entertainment tent, as we didnt have any children with us, and when we did, I found it was very hot due to the amount of people, but you could always sit in the bbq bar and hear the music etc. We enjoyed most nights at the piano bar, the guy's enjoyed the 10 minute nightly pre-view - this wasn't part of the ;- and for those who were there at the same time will know exactly what i mean!!!

The only downside was the return home, we knew we had to wait outside at the airport, inside, was a completely different story, it's worse!!! This was our first stay at the Blue Lagoon. We are a family of three; my wife our 4 and a half year old daughter and me. We had been guided purely by the invite from my in laws who had already booked the hotel and then in part by the hotels own website which is really good. We were delayed as always going out β 6 glorious hours at Gatwick North terminal.
After collecting the bags and a transfer of about 30 minutes, we finally arrived at the hotel at 4. Check in was really efficient and the desk staff were friendly, efficient and fast. Our room was roomy and completely fit for purpose. It was clean and pretty spacious and reasonably near the main building. The bed was a little hard but a prefer that to too soft. This Hotel is really good and seems to have hit the right balance between couples and family type offering.
