SINGAPORE — A father who is accused of raping his older daughter twice and forcing her to perform sexual acts on him in claimed that the acts were consensual and initiated by the alleged victim.
The man also has a younger daughter and a son. In March , the older daughter was unemployed and had chronic alcoholism since at least , Lau told the court. She also took methamphetamine after the alleged rape incident, he added. The woman, now 27, also had relationship problems with her husband and blamed her father for her failed marriage. It was her mother, who is divorced from her father, who filed a police report after she felt offended by the way her ex-husband had touched their daughter, said the lawyer.
At about 4am, as the two were in the room, his daughter kissed him and made him perform sexual acts on her, the man said. Nobody else was at home at the time, according to him. I knew that I was making a mistake. He eventually gave in to her and had unprotected sex with his daughter. The man complied as he knew that his daughter would be angry if he did not. He added that he had never hit her and would just give in to her, even if she scolded him.
The man left for work later that morning after promising his daughter not to reveal the incident to anyone else. He testified that he was unable to work properly as he kept tearing and making mistakes. Two days later, the two repeated the acts in the bedroom, with the daughter forcing herself on him, according to the man.
He became emotional when recounting the incident. The man was also asked about two penknives that he had in his possession, including the one that he allegedly used in the incident. He said his company had given them to him for opening boxes and containers, and denied taking out them out on 27 March. I swear upon my mother that I did not use the knife at all.
