Her friendship with a certain sergeant, a male work colleague lead to her introduction to the sordid world of hard drugs. The sergeant took her to a Nigerian dealer in Sunnyside, Pretoria.
She enjoyed the experience of drug-induced happiness and over time, her cravings grew. From once a month to once a week, they made more frequent trips to Sunnyside to obtain drugs.
